Gatineau, QC — April 29, 2008 — Sitebrand is proud to announce that its President and CEO Justin Shimoon is a recipient of the Ottawa Business Journal 2008 Forty Under 40 award.
The Forty Under 40 award recognizes business people under the age of 40 who balance a desire to participate in charitable and community activities with bottom line results. A prestigious committee of business leaders choose nominees using three criteria: career accomplishments, professional expertise and community and charitable involvement. Nominees are scored on a 40-point basis: 20 points for business achievements, 10 points for professional expertise, and 10 points for community involvement. OBJ publisher Michael Current said, "We presented the judges with more than 100 nominations for consideration. It was a very strong year."
Shimoon has joined a select group of people. This year's winners, outstanding professionals all under 40, range from representatives of media and multinational organizations to law firms and landscaping companies. Their occupations are diverse: from formulating national environmental policy to mining for gold in Mexico; from operating travel blogs to consulting patients with sleep disorder; from selling in Silicon Valley to spinning spooky stories.
Shimoon says he is honoured to be a recipient of the 2008 Forty under 40 award, "While I may be the recipient of the award, it is actually a reflection of the accomplishments and commitment of everyone at Sitebrand."
