Justin Shimoon, President & CEO
Before founding Sitebrand Corporation in February 2000, Justin worked at Nortel Networks and was responsible for its Optical Network Planning and Design Testability groups. While at Nortel, he closed over $300 million in deals with some of the world's largest Internet Service Providers, including PSINet, ClearData, and PG&E. Justin holds a degree in electrical engineering with a concentration in Telecommunications from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. His persistence, drive and ambition won him the prestigious Carleton University Wes Nicol Entrepreneurial Award.
Falk Gottlob, CTO
Falk brings more than 15 years of technology consulting and management experience to Sitebrand. Prior to joining Sitebrand, he spent 9 years at Microsoft as a Chief Software Architect for the .NET project before he moved to Intershop Communications Inc. for 3 years where he created Hosted Marketplace and Procurement Solutions. Falk was instrumental in the deployment of more than 40 Enfinity-based solutions where his contributions directly and indirectly contributed more than $9 million US of revenues. Major project wins include Deutsche Telekom, Ministry of Internal Affairs (German Government), Daimler Benz, HP, Deutsche Bank, Volkswagen, Lufthansa, and Hyundai, and Bertelsmann Online. Falk is currently responsible for Sitebrand’s worldwide research and development activities. Mr. Gottlob holds a M.S. degree in Computer Information Technology from NYU, New York, USA.
Chuck Rifici, CFO and VP of Admin
Chuck brings 12 years of finance, operational and entrepreneurial experience to Sitebrand. Prior to joining Sitebrand, he was Chief Financial Officer of Cybersurf Corp, a publicly traded Internet Service Provider listed on the TSX Venture exchange. He was previously co-owner of Cyberus Online Inc., which was acquired by Cybersurf Corp. Chuck is currently responsible for Sitebrand's financial, administrative and human resource activities. Mr. Rifici holds a Masters of Business Administration from Queen's University, as well as a Bachelor in Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Ottawa and is a Certified Management Accountant.
Darryl Praill, VP of Marketing
Darryl brings over 20 years high technology experience to Sitebrand in leadership roles encompassing Development, Consulting, Sales, and Marketing. Previously, Darryl was the Chief Marketing Officer for CML Emergency Services (now PlantCML), which was a major provider of 9-1-1 solutions. He was VP Sales and Marketing for Adexa, and VP of Marketing for webplan (now Kinaxis), both providers of Supply Chain Management solutions. Darryl ran Global Product Marketing both for Cognos, the world's largest provider of Business Intelligence solutions and for Sybase's database division. He has won national awards for management and was most recently a recipient of the Ottawa Business Journal’s "Forty Under 40" award. Darryl has a diploma in Computer Science from Sheridan College.
Gavin Parry, VP of Client Services
Gavin brings extensive eCommerce and online marketplace experience to Sitebrand and its Professional Services division, having spent the past 8 years in the United Kingdom mananging UK operations for North American software companies.
Gavin joined Sitebrand from Truition Inc, an On-Demand eCommerce software provider based out of Toronto, Canada. At Truition, Gavin was hired to start up and build the company's buisiness in the United Kingdom and over the course of three and a half years managed all aspects of the UK business, developing and implementing branded eCommerce solutions for mid-level and enterprise clients. Prior to Truition Gavin was Director of Services at FairMarket Inc, a publicly traded online technology company in Boston, MA (acquired by eBay in 2003), where he was responsible for UK operations and client services. Gavin also has many years experience managing enterprise clients such as Dell, Virgin, HP and Comet Group Plc, among others.
Gavin holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from McGill University, as well as an MSc in Energy Engineering from Southbank University, UK.
Chris Riopelle, VP of Sales
Chris is responsible for all business development and sales initiatives for Sitebrand. With
10 years working in the technology field with a concentration in sales process and channel development, Chris brings valuable experience to the Sitebrand
management team.
Prior to joining Sitebrand, Chris held the position of Vice President and General Manager of Interwork Technologies, a value-added distributor of business IP
security and communication solutions. During his tenure he also served as Director of Product Management, Director of US Sales and Vice President of Sales where
he contributed to increasing the company's sales by more than 50 percent.
Chris has also held the position of Major Account Manager for Westcon, a specialty distributor of networking communications and security solutions.
